As an experienced Bookkeeper at H&R Block, you will deliver exceptional bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You’ll play a key role in fulfilling our brand purpose to help and inspire communities everywhere.

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Generate and analyze financial statements
• Prepare and process payroll
• Generate 1099s and W2s, and prepare tax statements
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications or ability to obtain them
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and accounting principles
• Ability to interpret and apply instructions, policies, and regulations
• Professionalism and discretion with confidential information
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently

• Experience with Xero accounting software

This office is an independently owned franchise operating under an agreement with H&R Block. Franchisees make their own hiring decisions; inquiries about employment should be directed to the franchisee.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location. Successful candidates may participate in incentive plans and benefits including health coverage, 401(k), employee assistance programs, and more.
