Highland Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and mission-focused Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing operations and support our commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care.

The Director of Nursing oversees the Nursing Department, ensuring that all nursing services are delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and organizational standards.

This leadership role works closely with staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers to drive clinical quality, staff development, and resident outcomes.

• Provide respectful, dignified care to all residents
• Maintain regulatory compliance and clinical best practices
• Lead nursing staff onboarding, competency development, and ongoing education
• Implement and evaluate nursing policies and procedures
• Participate in resident care planning, quality assurance, and risk management
• Conduct rounds to assess resident care and support staff performance
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, and families to address clinical needs
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action plans
• Support a positive work culture focused on service, accountability, and teamwork
• Perform additional leadership duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the State of Illinois
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Prior clinical leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
  • Reliable work history and a commitment to teamwork
