Job DescriptionSummary:
The ACC GROW program merges students’ academic learning directly with eight core career competencies necessary for employment success as identified by a task force of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Through ACC GROW, Austin Community College students learn, apply, and strengthen these real-world essential job skills, then move on to expand their digital fluency and polish their professionalism.
Students who move through the entire process (to ACC GROW Associate III) evolve professionally, have increased earning potential, and are better prepared to meet the contemporary demands of Central Texas employers.
The ACC GROW program merges students’ academic learning directly with eight core career competencies necessary for employment success as identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Through ACC GROW, Austin Community College students learn, apply, and strengthen these real-world essential job skills, expand their digital fluency, and polish their professionalism.
Students who advance to ACC GROW Associate III demonstrate mastery of these competencies, serve as peer mentors or project leads, and engage in high-level tasks requiring critical thinking, initiative, and professional judgment. These students evolve as emerging professionals with increased earning potential and are better prepared to meet the contemporary demands of Central Texas employers.

The ACC GROW Associate III position is designed for advanced student employees who have demonstrated strong performance and competency growth in prior GROW roles. At this level, students take on greater independence and leadership in their assigned departments, often supporting special projects, training new team members, or optimizing workflows.
