Role SummaryAn Instructional Faculty member in the Science Department at Valor Christian High School demonstrates strong competency across science curricula and collaborates closely with the Science team to design consistent assessments and deliver effective instruction. They prepare students to become Christ‑centered leaders by integrating Biblical truth and Christian values into daily teaching. Faculty demonstrate a vibrant personal faith, love students well, and cultivate respectful, engaging classrooms that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.
They also mentor students spiritually, emotionally, and academically through Life Groups, prayer partnerships, and co‑curricular STEM opportunities, partnering with parents and colleagues to support holistic student growth and achievement.

- Understand the curriculum of a wide range of Science courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Science team to develop and deliver consistent assessments and sound instruction
- Demonstrate a love for students and a desire to personally invest in their spiritual, emotional and social maturation
- Invest in the lives of students through Life Groups, senior prayer partners, co‑curricular STEM programming and other mentorship opportunities
- Compassionately respond to the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each student
- Consistently partner and communicate with parents in the shared desire of student growth, spiritual development, and achievement
- Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Valor team members to strengthen student performance and support
- Uphold and embody Valor’s culture as set forth in the Valor Culture Document
- Model servant leadership, grace and love in all relationships and interactions
- Develop relationships with colleagues with goals of teamwork, relational unity and spiritual growth
- Provide team support regarding all matters, processes and initiatives
