Responsibilities- Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
- Utilize new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever-changing environment. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, maintain discipline in accordance with school policies, and apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
- Utilize technology to provide a variety of learning materials and resources, instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, observe, evaluate, encourage and provide feedback on student performance and development.
- Document health related services in designated Medicaid documentation system for the district’s School Medicaid Reimbursement Program as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development and prepare required reports on students and activities.
- Support the school and its community, including student support, counseling, extracurricular activities, department and school meetings, and parent meetings.

- Position Salary Schedule Eligibility:
Specialist/Extremely Hard to Hire - Licensed position salaries are set based on one of three salary schedules;
General, Hard to Hire, and Specialist/Extremely Hard to Hire. DCSD awards up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire. - Note:
All salary amounts listed on the schedules are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
