Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming patients and ensuring all check‑in and checkout processes are completed.

Base pay range: $18.50 per year to $25.00 per year.

Location:

Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA.

Employment type:

Full‑time.

Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Gather patients and insurance information.
  • Verify and enter patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete.
  • Verify vision and medical insurance information and enter into EMR.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate insurance information to patients.
  • Pull schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensure files are complete.
  • Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed.
  • Print and prepare forms for patients' visit.
  • Collect and document all charges, co‑pays, and payments into EMR.
  • Allocate balances to insurance as needed.
  • Always maintain a clean workspace.
  • Practice economy in the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.
