American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of solid PCU experience and a CO or compact RN license.

• Mixed acuity progressive care unit caring for a diverse medical-surgical population
• 12-bed high acuity medical-surgical side with 1:4-5 ratio and 10-bed PCU side with 1:3-4 ratio
• Ratios remain consistent across day and night shifts
• Rotates to med-surg assignments on the unit
• Rotating 3x12 shifts covering various days of the week, open to straight nights for the right candidate
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to like units and to sister facilities within the metro region per facility need
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of solid PCU experience, clearly noted in work history
• Epic charting experience required

• Provide care to a mixed acuity medical-surgical and progressive care patient population
• Responsibilities include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, respiratory management, cardiac monitoring, and wound care among other PCU-level skills
• Collaborative, team-based unit environment emphasizing communication
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests allowed
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant experience
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility restrictions
