Who We Are:
Sploot Veterinary Care is a new kind of veterinary clinic, blending Urgent Care and General Practice to provide pets with high-quality care when they need it. We were founded by compassionate individuals who wanted torewrite the rules of vet med – prioritizing our team’s well-being as much as our patients’. Our Denver clinics are tech-forward and innovative (we use tools like CoVET AI Scribe for medical notes and offer laparoscopic surgery as a modern, non-invasive surgery option), and our culture is all about collaboration, learning, and fun.

We’re building the future of vet care, and we want you to be a part of it!

Why You’ll Love Working at Sploot:

  • Diverse Caseload (Urgent + Primary): Boredom? Not here. You’ll handle everything from vaccines and puppy checks to stabilizing minor emergencies. One day it’s a routine dental cleaning, the next you’re assisting in surgery on a swallowed sock. You’ll learn every day and use the full range of your skills, becoming the best tech you can be.
  • No Overnights or On-Call – Ever: We’re open 8am-8pm, 7 days/week, but we don’t do overnights. Enjoy predictable 4-day work weeks. No more 2 AM phone calls, no swing shifts ending r evenings are yours – go home for dinner, recharge, and actually have a life outside work!
  • Team & Culture: Work in a clinic where everyone has your back. We maintain a high staff-to-doctor ratio so you’re never overwhelmed. Our team is positive, supportive, and actually likes coming to work. Expect collaborative medicine where your input is valued in patient care. We regularly celebrate wins, grab coffee together, and yes, we stock endless snacks in the break room to keep you fueled.
  • Purpose & Impact: At Sploot, you’re not just performing tasks – you’re making a difference. Our mission is to make vet care better for pets and for vet professionals. Every treatment you assist, every client you comfort, contributes to a larger purpose of setting a new standard in veterinary medicine. You’ll feel that pride and purpose every day, knowing your work truly matters (and we’ll remind you, with plenty of “thank you’s” and appreciation along the way).

Day in the Life (Job Duties):As a Sploot Veterinary Technician, each day will be dynamic and fulfilling. You will:

  • Partner with our Veterinarians to deliver top-notch care – from prepping patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, to performing treatments and diagnostics. You’re the doctor’s trusted right hand.
  • Provide Compassionate Client Care – educate and reassure pet parents during what can be stressful moments. You’ll explain treatments and home care instructions, making sure our clients feel supported and heard.
  • Perform Lab & Technical Skills – collect blood, run lab tests, place IV catheters, take radiographs (including dental x-rays), administer medications and vaccines, and even assist in suturing and wound care.
  • Maintain Organized Workflow – help keep our clinic running smoothly by maintaining accurate digital medical records (with help from our AI scribe), restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is cleaned/sterilized. A tidy clinic is a happy clinic for team, pets, and owners alike.
  • Be a Culture Champion – we have core values like Accountability, Teamwork, and Solution-Focus. You embody these by communicating openly, having a can-do attitude, and supporting your colleagues. You’ll mentor assistants and help foster the positive environment that makes Sploot special.
