DC Security Specialist, DCC Communities - Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The DSS will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

• Manage physical security operations, including developing post orders, defining security procedures, and handling site incidents.
• Work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, and drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities.
• Manage vendors and ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
• Participate in recurring site audits, reviews, and testing of new security technologies.
• Demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field.
• Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

• Experience with various Access/Intrusion control systems in a control‑room environment.
• 1+ years of security operations oversight experience.

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,900/year in our lowest market up to $94,100/year in our highest. Pay is based on a number of factors including location and may vary depending on experience. Equity, sign‑on, and other forms of compensation may be provided.
