Sr Systems Engineer

* Description
* seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to provide engineering-level technical support for our data center server infrastructure, both on-premises and in Microsoft Azure. This role involves day-to-day operational support, documentation, cost analysis, enforcing configurations for resiliency and standards, and leading key projects that enhance our infrastructure capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design and Implement Solutions:
Plan, design, and deploy technical solutions within Azure and on-prem environments.

-Server Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and enterprise software.

-Documentation:
Maintain accurate configuration and architectural documentation (CMDB, KB articles).

-Troubleshooting:
Monitor and resolve server issues to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams and managed service providers to improve infrastructure and resolve technical challenges.

-Project Leadership:
Manage and deliver multiple technical projects with competing priorities.

Skills & Experience:

-Windows Server Expertise: 6+ years with Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
-Azure Proficiency: 5+ years of experience with Azure, including cost management and resiliency strategies.
-Automation:
Advanced knowledge of Power Shell and scripting languages.
-Strong organizational and project management skills.
-Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Microsoft Certifications (Azure Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).

- Experience with VMware, MS Exchange, Service Now.
-Successful Azure deployments (backup, HA zones, microservices, PaaS).

- Experience with M&A activities and facility design/decommissioning.
