Locate Technician at Grid Hawk LLC

Join Grid Hawk LLC as an experienced Locate Technician, responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone communication lines, electric power lines, cable television lines, gas lines, fiber optic lines, water lines, and sewer lines. This role ensures that the area complies with client and state requirements through observing, locating, marking, and documenting utility locations.

• Use a transmitter and other equipment to locate buried facilities accurately.
• Work independently or as part of a team, following instructions from a supervising manager.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and maps to plan efficient routes.
• Perform routine and emergency locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours as required.
• Communicate effectively with customers, co‑employees, contractors, and management to maintain a damage‑free environment.
• Work in diverse terrains and weather conditions in construction zones and residential, commercial, industrial, and rural areas.
• Maintain safe operating practices while using tools and machinery.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with utility locating (1 year preferred).
• Background check with no violations in the last five years.
• Pass a DOT drug test.
