The Driver will drive a company vehicle to transport residents and/or cargo.

• Drives company vehicle to transport passengers.
• Receives request for passenger service and picks up passengers at prearranged locations.
• Assists passengers with entering and exiting vehicles and with any items.
• Ensures passengers reach their destinations safely and on time.
• Observes safety regulations and state laws regarding vehicle operation; ensures passengers also follow applicable safety regulations.
• Ensures vehicle equipment such as brakes, lights, windshield wipers, etc., are maintained and operating properly.
• Submits accident reports when needed.
• Conducts routine maintenance on vehicles including adding gasoline, oil, water and checking tire pressure; reports vehicle problems and ensures more specialized maintenance and repairs are performed.
• Participates in company safety training programs for drivers as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record is required.
• A valid CDL License is required based on location.
• Excellent driving skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, road signs, and routes.

This position will require working outdoors while loading and unloading residents. The position also involves working indoors meeting and organizing residents needing transportation. The position will work in a closed vehicle on a daily basis. The position is often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. The position works near residents, but usually has a few feet of space separating them from others.
