Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1-2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

• Active IL RN license required by orientation (pending license accepted with proof of application at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred
• 2 years of experience required, 1 year considered with appropriate background
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation
• Able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Must complete a glucometer exam prior to start (unlimited attempts permitted)

• Med/Surg Tele unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:45-07:15)
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring with on-unit monitoring responsibilities
• Manages cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration preferred)
• Cares for patients with CVA, ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and renal failure
• Provides feeding tube and wound care/wound vac management
• Performs IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
• Any charting system experience accepted, CPSI experience preferred
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients
• Manage patients requiring isolation precautions and PPE
• RTO must be submitted with profile; holiday RTO restrictions apply during Christmas and New Year's
