Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with Kansas licensure and comfort serving as a student preceptor for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based setting performing both ultrasound and echocardiogram procedures
- Schedule is part-time:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:00-16:00, and Tuesday, Thursday 8:00-12:00, subject to change - No on-call or weekend shifts typically required
- May work with an ultrasound student and serve as a preceptor
- Floating may occur in rotation with staff following facility policy
- Experience with vascular and abdominal studies preferred due to high volume in those areas
- Charting system is CPSI, and experience is preferred, not required
- You will work alongside an ultrasound student and are expected to provide guidance as a preceptor
- Expect potential holiday coverage in rotation with staff
- Time off must be approved in advance and is discouraged during the first weeks of assignment
- May occasionally be asked to float to other units according to experience and policy
- Business casual or facility-specific dress code may apply
- Valid Kansas State license for ultrasound required (license required if applicable)
- Echocardiogram certification required
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
- Vascular and abdominal Registry preferred but not required
- One year of ultrasound experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
- Ability to precept and mentor an ultrasound student
