Canon U.S.A., Inc. has an exciting opportunity in Oregon to support photolithography equipment customers and enable them to utilize cutting‑edge technology in their semiconductor manufacturing process. You will be trained to support Canon’s lithography equipment (steppers and scanners). This position will be based in Oregon but may involve travel to support other U.S. locations.
Weekly scheduled hours will vary 35–40 hours/week with occasional overtime as needed.
Your Impact- Install, repair, calibrate and maintain semiconductor process equipment while minimizing equipment downtime. Escalate advanced repairs as needed to senior technicians.
- Monitor, inspect and maintain equipment to prevent and minimize malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activity and provide periodic reports.
- Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure adequate inventory for repair work.
- Provide training and assistance to technicians and may give basic instruction to customers.
- Participate in ongoing technical training to expand expertise.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
This is a customer‑facing role and requires compliance with customer policies and protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID‑19.
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus < 1 year of related (electromechanical) work experience (e.g., field service engineer or technician position in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical position in the engineering field). Lithography experience is beneficial but not required; experience with high‑precision equipment helpful.
- May require up to 40% overnight travel. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Requires MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Requires ability to work flexible shifts, compressed work weeks.
- Requires driving for company business as an essential function and compliance with safety guidelines.
- Requires ability to lift up to 30 pounds; assistance may be available for heavier loads.
- Requires substantial standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, hearing, driving, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
- Requires close visual acuity for reading and inspection of small defects and parts.
- Working primarily in a cleanroom environment (full cleanroom suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses).
- Work environment may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, scaffolding/higher places, chemicals, UV light, lasers, enclosed spaces, narrow aisles, and time‑sensitive situations.
Anticipated hourly rate: $27.88–$41.75.
