Managed Services projects are permanent roles with Biblioso providing healthcare and benefits while the vendor works on-site at the client’s campus.

  • Position: Technical Equipment Installer
  • Contract Type: Permanent (W2 only)
  • Location: On-site at our client’s facility in Hillsboro, WA
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Compensation: $62,400 to $68,640 annually, plus benefits

This role is exclusively for direct hires on W2 and is not open to C2C or third-party arrangements.

Role Overview

The Technical Equipment Installer is entrusted with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of hardware within the labs. This position is critical to ensure that all installations adhere to established industry standards, organizational protocols, security protocols and procedures, and safety regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation: Execute the installation of servers, network switches, storage devices, racks, and associated hardware in strict accordance with technical specifications and site requirements.
  • Cabling and Connectivity: Organize, terminate, and label network and power cabling to guarantee optimal connectivity and systematic arrangement throughout the labs.
  • Configuration Support: Provide assistance during the initial configuration and program maturity phases of new / existing racks and benches installing / removing equipment to ensure operational readiness and integration / decommissioning of all supported programs.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise and comprehensive records of all equipment installations, including, but not limited to, serial numbers, rack elevations, bench equipment, and location(s) to facilitate asset management and future troubleshooting.
  • Compliance and Safety: Rigorously observe all safety protocols, company policies, and pertinent industry standards (such as electrostatic discharge protection and fire safety) throughout all installation tasks.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve routine installation issues, escalating complex technical problems to senior personnel or external vendors when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate closely with network engineers, system administrators, and project managers to align installation activities with project timelines and requirements.
  • Maintenance Support: Contribute to the removal, replacement, and upgrading of data center equipment as mandated by operational needs.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with the receiving, unpacking, and meticulous inventorying of equipment and associated components prior to installation.
  • Customer Service: Communicate in a professional manner with both internal stakeholders and external vendors during all phases of installation projects.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation of server, network, and storage hardware
  • Fundamental understanding of data center infrastructure and cabling standards
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and installation manuals
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
  • Physical capacity to lift and transport equipment as required (minimum of 30lbs)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Unwavering commitment to adhering to safety and compliance procedures
