Shop Helper – Short American Precision Industries

American Precision Industries has an opportunity for a part‑time Shop Helper in our Deburr and Shipping departments. This job is available on a temporary basis for up to 3 months, 3 days per week.

• Use of various hand tools and power tools, including orbital sanders, grinders to remove sharp edges
• Wash and tumble metal parts using finishing machinery
• Visually inspect parts prior to submitting to Quality Control
• Mask areas of parts to be protected from paint
• Use of paints and lacquers
• Other duties as assigned

• Other duties as assigned

• 0-1 years experience deburring metal parts or working in a manufacturing shipping department
• Experience with hand tools, helpful
• Ability to quickly complete repetitive tasks under time deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read blueprints a plus
• Prior experience running lathes or mills, a plus
