Responsibilities
- Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece.
- Select, setup and install proper punch/die combinations (based on tonnage requirements and desired bend results), and materials on machines as necessary to produce parts required.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machine factors, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control according to guidelines and procedures.
- Load programs, start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance parts, and adjust machine controls and parameters as required.
- Verify conformance of finished work‑piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
- Store and mark complete parts as required to assist downstream processes.
- Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in fabrication area according to maintenance plans and established procedures. Ensure safety requirements are followed with utmost importance.
Requirements Qualifications- Previous experience not required, a willingness to learn new skills.
- High level of commitment to accuracy and detail.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes.
- Read a tape measure, use a square and level to achieve part specs.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction with a positive attitude.
- Effective listener, approachable and considerate.
- Punctual with great attendance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Employee is required to stand for longer periods of time.
- Visual acuity, close vision is required.
- Ability to use ladders (2ft – 10ft).
