CNC Operator

PPS is seeking an experienced CNC Operator for our semiconductor industry fabrication facility in Hillsboro. This is a full-time, permanent contract-to-hire position with a highly competitive starting pay rate, excellent benefits (to include profit sharing bonuses), and room for advancement!

The CNC Operator will have knowledge of cutter operation and procedures along with a good mechanical aptitude with experience in operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment. They will have the ability to read measuring devices and calculate fractions, be able to read and follow directions and be able to work independently with minimal direction. This position requires the operator to be accurate and precise, able to stand for entire shift and possess good interpersonal skills.

Basic math skills are a minimum requirement

• Preventative maintenance, including changing blades
• Read and understand work orders, layouts and other project details
• Use project information to ensure product is produced according to required specifications
• Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Monitor machine efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards
• Make adjustments as needed
• Complete data collection entries and report to inventory coordinator material usage per project
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise
• Overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area
• Completing log for maintenance requests, material usage, hold/waste and recycled material logs
• Perform other work related duties as assigned

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience on CNC routing/cutting machines
• Setup experience required
• Basic CNC editing experience required
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Organizational and problem solving skills required
  
  Basic math skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerances preferred
