Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location:
Onsite, Hillsboro, ORA day in this role
You clock in at our Hillsboro facility, review the traveler packet, and compare it with the blueprint for the first job. You load the CNC program, make a small edit to optimize a toolpath, then set tooling and dial in work and tool offsets. After the first piece runs, you verify every critical feature with calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales, and a tape measure.
Parts are washed and deburred before moving to the next step. Between runs, you keep machines tidy, top off coolant tanks, and, when needed, jump over to the saw area or a manual drill press to support the flow. Throughout the shift, safety, accuracy, and pace guide every decision.
What you'll handle
Safely and precisely operate CNC machinery to meet production requirements and quality targets.
Read and interpret blueprints and travelers; confirm all instructions align with production needs.
Upload CNC programs and make minor edits when necessary.
Set up tooling; adjust work and tool offsets to achieve correct dimensions.
Inspect finished components to blueprint, company, and quality standards.
Use metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales, and tape measures.
Prepare parts for assembly through washing and deburring.
Maintain CNC equipment and coolant systems for clean, efficient operation.
Run hand tools and equipment such as band saws and manual drill presses as needed.
Assist in the sawyer area when required.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe; perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
High school diploma and 3–6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with our product lines and how they’re designed and used.
Basic understanding of G & M codes.
Hands-on ability with CNC equipment and basic blueprint reading.
Comfort with measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales, and tape measures.
Experience with band saws and manual drill presses.
Ability to work quickly and safely with high accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset.
