Emergency Department RN Nights

The Emergency Department RN is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in fast-paced environments and possess strong clinical judgment skills.

• Pay: $57 - $84/hour
• Location: Hillsboro, OR
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full Time

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the EMR.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

Education:

• RN degree required

Experience:

• Experience in emergency nursing preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in Oregon
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
