Job ScopeThe Quality Assurance Technician 1 (QAT) inspects semi‑finished/finished materials and products to required specifications, specifications, or controlling documents.
Shift: First Shift: Monday—Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities- Tests, inspects, or measures products, materials, and processes to evaluate conformance with specifications.
- Completes required documentation and data with accuracy and completeness.
- Inspects, processes, and disposition incoming finished goods inventory.
- Accurately enters information into the manufacturing data gathering system.
- Creates NCMRs/Quality Notifications for out‑of‑specification items.
- Dispositions materials following MRB meetings.
- Determines inspection priorities, monitors cell throughput, and tracks status of inspections.
- Recommends improvements to inspection processes.
- Participates in Manufacturing Cell teams as a Quality representative, addressing quality issues per documented processes.
- Completes on‑time required training.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 6 months–1 year of applicable manufacturing experience; prior inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and speak English to understand work instructions, specifications, and procedures.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, gage pins, optical comparators.
- Understanding of final acceptance activities.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of standard problem‑solving techniques.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Team contributor ability.
- Good mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Organizational skills—maintain an organized workspace.
- High level of self‑motivation.
- Proficiency with MS Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook. - Use of manufacturing data gathering system.
- General knowledge of machining processes.
- General knowledge of company products and applications.
