Grid Source is currently seeking Fiber Installation Technicians in the Hillsboro, NC area.

Qualified candidates must be fully tooled and have a truck, van or SUV to carry a ladder. A 28‑foot fiberglass ladder with midspan hooks and V‑rung is also required. Fiber installers are engaged with performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high‑speed internet, as well as the wiring and equipment of data and voice networks.

Observe all safety rules and regulations.

Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.

Convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers.

Actively support sales and marketing related activities.

Maintain accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed).

Ask relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions.

Engage in active learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge).

Assume all other duties as assigned.

Must have experience in the field of residential fiber installation.

Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and a 28’ fiberglass ladder with V‑rung and mid‑span hooks as well as all climbing equipment.

Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android smartphone is also a requirement.

Technician must have lace‑up boots with a defined 1/2‑inch heel. Other PPE may be required by local management.

Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required.

Must be able to pass background and drug screening.

Must have a good driving record.

Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.

Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
