AI software framework group is responsible for development of all the AI Frameworks to enable Intel’s AI HW roadmap. This group focuses on developing AI software from kernel (such as matrix multiplication) to higher level frameworks (such as Inference engine). The group works closely with other Intel teams—lower‑level stacks close to operating systems and higher‑level stacks for cluster level scheduling—to develop an end‑to‑end software stack for Intel hardware roadmap.
This position requires prototyping, developing GPU kernels, integrating them into AI frameworks, and optimizing them for Intel hardware platforms.
- Develop complex code with C++ templates for optimal GPU kernels.
- Understand PyTorch or similar framework’s usage of AI kernels and design the interfaces.
- Interact with partner teams to understand the requirements and convert them to tangible action items for development.
- Develop architectural documents to set direction for the larger team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical details and concepts.
- Willingness to mentor engineers and solve complex problems with clear direction of requirements.
- Willingness to adhere to specific timelines and deliver quality software products.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years, Master’s degree plus 3+ years, or Ph.D plus 1+ year of experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience in complex C++ template‑based development such as meta‑level programming.
- 2+ years of experience with GPU architecture.
- 2+ years of experience with SYCL or CUDA.
- Experience with GEMM kernels.
- Experience developing AI kernels such as flash attention or MoE.
- Understanding of the overall AI software stack.
- Understanding of PyTorch architecture.
