Job Description
Role: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Job Responsibilities
- Learning the processes of how products are made and all the steps that go into it.
- Learning about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
- Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments
- Dismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools.
- Inspecting and assessing the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components
- Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
- The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
- Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
- Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
- 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
- Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
- Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software
- Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment
