Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative duties within a clinical environment. The primary responsibilities include assisting with daily patient flow, documenting interactions, handling clerical tasks, and performing medical assisting duties as per state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with clinical duties such as managing daily patient flow, escorting patients to exam rooms, collecting medical histories, refilling medications, and supporting providers/nurses during procedures.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and ensure patients understand treatments and instructions.
  • Handle clerical functions including processing medical records, retrieving lab and diagnostic reports, completing required forms, and maintaining accurate patient charts.
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment, maintain cleanliness, and manage supply inventory.
  • Uphold patient rights, adhere to safety protocols, and report concerns involving patients or staff to supervisors.
  • Perform tasks such as preparing for physical exams, administering medications, verifying prescriptions, applying wound dressings, and conducting basic lab procedures.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership or clinical staff.
Qualifications
  • National CMA certification required
Experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years as a Medical Assistant, including EMR/EHR experience
Skills
  • Injection experience
  • Strong soft skills - reliability is a key trait
