Responsibilities- Attend meetings to determine daily scheduling.
- Assign operators and insure sufficient staffing for production lines.
- Arrange for temporary workers when needed.
- Oversee and maintain continuous and efficient operation of production lines.
- Assist, coach and train operators.
- Troubleshoot problems on the line, work with QC on quality issues.
- Maintain records of productivity, problems, down time, machine cycles, scrap, etc.
- Enter production into Oracle at end of shift.
- Approve process/maintenance work; sign off on paperwork.
- Perform visual inspections on all machines to ensure product meets specifications.
- Report problems to Quality Control.
- Contact technician or maintenance for repairs or processing; collaborate with technician to keep lines running.
- Communicate status of production and problems with next shift supervisor.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping of production area.
- Perform other related duties or special projects.
