Description
Operate a tilt bed and at times a heavy duty roll back; primarily making delivery and pickups of 20’ and 40’ shipping containers. Rigging, flatbed or machine hauling experience a must.
Job SummaryThis position reports to the Lead Truck Driver. Class A CDL license is required. Full time position available is 1st Shift schedule;
Monday through Friday with deliveries generally within all parts of New York or a 150-mile radius of the greater Philadelphia region‑getting you home every night. Ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of towing and be able to operate cable winch.
- Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
- Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
- Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self‑inspection of your work product.
- Secure cargo for transport, using slings, chain, binders.
- Deliveries may at times be in residential areas or tight quarters.
- Some deliveries may require adding caster wheels to containers to reposition container into a warehouse.
- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Communicate with customer about care and maintenance of our products upon delivery.
- Ability to load flat bed and tilt bed trailers.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Check all load‑related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Communicate daily with dispatch and lead truck driver.
- Lifting production objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Employees are eligible for most benefits on the 1st of the month following date of hire.
Hourly Rate Range$30.00/hr.
- $35.00/hr.
Education
:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
:
Minimum 2 years truck driving experience required. Good driving record. Ability to pass a drug test and DOT physical. Availability to work long hours, weekends and holidays if necessary is a plus. Ability to work in all types of weather.
