The department provides 24/7 police coverage and emergency services for Hillsboro and Deering with a communication center on site that covers neighboring towns:
Antrim, Bennington, Deering, Washington and Hancock.

This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Police Officer located in Hillsboro, NH. Police Officers are responsible for enforcing laws, responding to emergency and non‑emergency calls, conducting investigations, and maintaining public order. Officers will engage with the community, perform patrol duties, and work collaboratively with other law enforcement and emergency service agencies to ensure safety and security.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and ability to meet NH PSTC standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Prior law enforcement or military experience is a plus

• Certified Officers’ salary is based on years of service (2 years $65,104, 4 years $70,137, 6 years $75,212)
