The Medical Assistant II, Certified provides routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other health‑care team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Works under the clinical supervision of a provider 가장고 general direction of a manager.

• Performs rooming and intake processes, collecting vital signs, height, weight, and data related to the reason for visit.
• Collects patient and family data, including medical and social history.
• Reviews patient’s medication list, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
• Assists the provider with treatments, examinations, and proceduresouvrez.
• Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy.
• Administers medications under provider direction.
• Performs tests such as EKG and eye exams under provider direction.
• Reviews the record to determine routine health screenings.
• Ensures exam/procedure rooms contain supplies, equipment, forms and educational materials.
• Provides post‑visit instructions and educational materials.
• Prepares, cleans, stocks, and maintains exam and treatment rooms; sterilizes instruments.
• Assists with registration, check‑in/out, appointment scheduling, and referrals.
• Answers the clinic telephone and assists in‑basket tasks under provider or nurse direction.

  Essential Responsibilities:
• Precepts new medical assistant hires and externs.
• Trains other medical assistants in clinic procedures.
• Assists physicians with preventive health measures for a panel of patients.
• Performs clinic‑based quality or safety roles (e.g., safety coordinator). Manages clinic supply ordering.

• No requirements other than other qualifications being met бара.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program strongly preferred.

• Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA.
• Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC.

• At least one year of full‑time experience as a certified medical assistant.
• Demonstrated possession of the competencies outlined in the Medical Assistant Advancement Worksheet.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive engagement with patients and families while working as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using the electronic medical record.
