Overview
S&L Hospitality, along with this location, are seeking an individual to work as a Cook (Line Cook and/or Prep Cook) to adhere to the restaurant menu and follow food health and safety procedures. Ideal candidates will have relative experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision, remain calm and collected during peak meal times, organized, and have the availability to work during business operation hours.
Shifts include, but are not limited to, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous hospitality or food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long period of time and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to push/pull/bend/lift up to 25-50 lbs. occasionally and up to 15 lbs. frequently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or minimum age to work in a kitchen environment in accordance with state/local laws.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
- Detail-orientated individual who is able to focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to maintain a composed, approachable and professional attitude.
- If required, be able to maintain and obtain the appropriate training and certifications.
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and necessary equipment.
- Prepare ingredients utilizing proper techniques and utensils.
- Ensure proper plate presentation and orders will meet the guest’s expectations.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly workstation, environment in the kitchen.
- Check quality of ingredients, restock and replenish station as necessary.
- Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
