Agency contractor (ongoing role) Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forecast and Demand Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely demand forecasts, ensuring the Forecasting team meets business objectives. This role involves close collaboration across multiple teams to optimise inventory management systems and processes. You will take ownership of forecasts, manage stock levels, and set order policies to maintain optimal inventory.
A key aspect of this role is driving continuous improvements in forecasting methodologies and utilising ERP and planning tools to enhance forecast accuracy. You will also manage escalation, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve issues in partnership with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound business acumen, and effective communication abilities at all organisational levels. Key Responsibilities Collaborate effectively across teams to support and improve inventory management systems and processes. Own and complete daily, weekly, and monthly forecasting activities with accountability and precision. Maintain optimal stock holdings and establish suitable order policies. Manage escalation and resolution processes, engaging fully with relevant stakeholders. Analyse data from diverse sources to develop accurate and justifiable demand forecasts. Drive continuous improvements in forecasting procedures and tools, including ERP system utilisation.
Support and actively participate in health, safety, environmental policies, and behavioural safety initiatives. Demonstrate company values and behaviours as a role model. Undertake additional duties and projects as required. Skills and Experience Advanced data analysis and problem-solving capabilities. Strong understanding of inventory management principles. Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organisational levels. Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Proficient IT skills with strong numeracy. Experienced in MS Office Suite or equivalent software. Preferably experienced in evaluating and correcting forecast exceptions. Ability to assess and set service levels within forecasting systems is advantageous. Good commercial awareness and business insight. Strong problem-solving skills, including familiarity with relevant tools. Software and Tools ERP systems (specific system knowledge advantageous). MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Forecasting and planning software tools. Certifications and Standards Compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Understanding of behavioural safety programmes. Commitment to continuous improvement and quality standards.
