Site Manager

Our client, a well-established main contractor specialising in refurbishment projects, is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a 14-week window replacement programme on an occupied student accommodation development in Preston. The project will start on the 20th July. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Site Manager with experience delivering refurbishment works in live environments, where maintaining strong communication with residents is essential.

Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of the window replacement programme. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. Liaise with residents and the accommodation management team to coordinate access for window installations and keep occupants informed of planned works. Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment.

Complete site documentation, including daily diaries, RAMS, permits, and progress reports. Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging to ensure a high standard of finish. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering refurbishment or window replacement projects. Previous experience managing projects within occupied residential, student accommodation, or other live environments. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with residents and stakeholders.
