About the Role As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home where children and young people can thrive. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help young people develop independence, build healthy relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.

No two days are the same. You will support children with everyday routines while helping them navigate life's challenges with empathy, patience, and understanding.

Key Responsibilities Build trusting, professional relationships with children and young people. Provide consistent, trauma-informed care that promotes emotional wellbeing. Create a warm, safe, and homely environment where young people feel valued and respected. Support education, training, hobbies, and community participation. Encourage independence and develop practical life skills. Plan and participate in activities, holidays, and memorable experiences. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and risk management.

Work collaboratively with families, schools, social workers, therapists, and other professionals. Safeguard children at all times and promote their rights, voice, and individual identity. Be a positive role model, demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and compassion. What We're Looking For We're interested in people with the right values as much as the right experience. You will ideally have:
Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals. A caring, patient, and resilient approach. The ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A genuine commitment to helping children achieve positive futures. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays. A full UK driving licence (desirable). A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is welcomed but not essential, as training and development opportunities are available.
