Mechanical Product Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team in a high-precision manufacturing environment. You will collaborate across departments to develop, test, and refine mechanical components, ensuring our products meet the rigorous standards of the aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and assembly documentation for precision power transmission components.
• Manage product life cycles by maintaining accurate Bills of Materials and executing Engineering Change Notices with strict revision control.
• Drive product innovation by designing and testing new components, performing load calculations, and gathering performance data to support technical marketing.
• Design and implement custom fixtures, tooling, and assembly aids to optimize shop floor efficiency and production throughput.
• Utilize rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies to accelerate R&D cycles and validate functional designs.
• Partner with quality and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective corrective actions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical coursework.
• Proven proficiency in Solid Works for complex 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a hands‑on approach to engineering.
• Must be a “US Person” as defined by ITAR regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within an AS9100 or similar highly regulated quality management environment.
• Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) software for configuration control.
• Practical experience with additive manufacturing and jig/fixture design.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or product development setting.
