We are growing fast and looking for passionate, skilled individuals to join our team.

Hyperion Solutions is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to produce precision elevator components such as sheaves and worm & gear sets. This role requires strong manual lathe experience;
Vertical Turret Lathe (Bullard) experience is a major plus. If you’re a detail-oriented machinist with a passion for quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.

Precision Machining

• Read and use precision measuring tools (micrometers to 0.0005”).
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

Operate

• Horizontal & vertical lathes
• Milling machines & boring mills
• Radial drill presses
• Cylindrical & surface grinders
• Gear hobbing machinery
• Perform basic structural steel welding as needed.

Process Improvement

• Work with shop leadership to improve fixturing, tooling, and workflow.
• Help develop more efficient machining methods and routing processes.

Documentation & Routing

• Record setup hours, task hours, and material usage.
• Maintain accurate shop routing for costing and job control.

Quality & Maintenance

• Inspect work pieces and document defects.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and report issues promptly.

Safety

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• 5+ years' experience in a machine shop environment (required)
• Manual lathe experience (required)
• Vertical Turret Lathe (Bullard) experience (preferred)
• Gear hobbing or worm & gear cutting experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Trade school or apprenticeship experience (preferred)
• Experience in elevator or motor shop work is a plus.

Paid training and certification may be provided in areas such as:

• Vertical Turret Lathe (Bullard) Operation
• Gear Hobbing
• Thread Milling
• Cylindrical & Thread Grinding
• Additional compensation may apply after certification.
