Our Area Sales Managers help dealer partners sell more cars and trucks by financing more customers.
Job Description- Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within independent and franchise dealerships in person.
- Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.
- Follow‑up on new leads and referrals from telephone calls for independent and franchise dealers.
- Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partnerships within the local region.
- Maintain constant and effective communication with dealers on current programs.
- Train dealers on Western Funding processes, including proper documentation for fast funding of contracts.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High School diploma or equivalent (required); college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive, finance, and sales.
- Previous experience in the financial services sector or within a car dealership.
- 1–2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques.
- Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
- Results orientation aligned with company objectives.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Bi‑lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time to visit auto dealers.
- First‑Year Salary Range: $54,000 – $125,000 per year (base salary + performance commissions).
- Average rep earning after 1 year: $79,000.
- Commission potential:
No cap (unlimited earning potential). - Monthly mileage reimbursement:
Average $450 per month. - Exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hire based on location, skill set, experience, education, and licensure.
