To perform routine skilled work in the operation of motor trucks and light duty motor equipment. The qualified applicant’s job duties is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Stratas Foods procedures and policies.

Requires heavy work, including strenuous activities such as reaching, bending, or lifting 50 lbs or more as well as performing work activities which require fine manual dexterity or coordination in operating truck.

Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with management and co‑workers is critical. Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, a telephone, and e‑mail for communication is essential. Standing or sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information. Good math and reasoning ability is essential. Able to apply general mathematical calculations, analysis of variance, and other basic standard equations as required.

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Required.

Must possess a valid CDL Class A New Jersey driver’s license!

The job is performed in both an office and manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, oil, and smoke may occur. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, appropriate clothing, hard hat) is required in manufacturing plants. Activities include extended periods of sitting and standing.

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in operating motor driven equipment.
• Knowledge of the principles of operation of motor equipment sufficient to detect defective operation.
• Clean driving record – must have an updated MVR.
• Updated DOT Physical card.
• Able to pass a road test.
• Knowledge of the North East Region.
• Knowledge of the food service industry a plus.
• Have the ability to drive either manual or automatic transmissions.
• Drive new updated equipment.
• Starting time varies based on location being delivered.
• Occasional weekends.
