* Amteck is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team in a traveling role supporting projects at various jobsite locations, primarily throughout the Southeast United States.

The Journeyman Electrician works under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent and may provide direction to Helpers, Apprentices, and other Journeyman Electricians. This position performs the installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, equipment, and associated materials.

* What You'll Do
** Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate hand and mechanical tools.
* Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, branch circuits, and feeder conductors.
* Apply a working knowledge of electrical circuiting.
* Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents.
* Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layouts.
* Determine proper wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
* Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
* Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the jobsite.
* Safely use hand tools and operate equipment following proper training and instruction.
* What We're Looking For
** 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
* Ability to travel to project assignments at various jobsite locations, primarily throughout the Southeast United States.
* Ability to work project schedules that may include weekends and overtime.
* Required tools in accordance with company policy and the ability to use them safely and effectively.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills.
* Ability to read and understand construction documents, drawings, and instructions.
* Team-oriented attitude with the ability to follow direction and work cooperatively and safely with others.
* Willingness to participate in on-the-job, classroom-based, and/or virtual training.
* Physical Requirements
* This is an active construction position. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
* Frequently standing, walking, reaching, handling materials, and working with hands and arms.
* Lifting and/or handling materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Climbing ladders and stairs and working at heights, including heights exceeding 30 feet.
* Working in cramped areas, overhead, and in a variety of weather conditions.
