Mauna Loa School (MLS) is a K–8 educational program located on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. Supported by three district churches, MLS serves approximately 30 students, many of whom come from nearby communities—reflecting our identity as a true mission‑focused school.

Required ExperienceMauna Loa School is seeking a dedicated principal/teacher who is passionate about Adventist education and skilled in balancing the responsibilities of full‑time leadership and classroom teaching within a growing K–8 program.
Qualified applicants should hold current denominational certification and have experience teaching in a multi‑grade setting. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong instructional decision‑making, effective teaching practices, clear and consistent communication, thoughtful planning and follow‑through, and a collaborative, team‑oriented spirit. Excellent communication skills are essential.
