Part-time, non-tenure track, for placement in Spring, Summer and/or Fall lecturer pool, assignments as needed, contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements for East Hawaii (Hilo), West Hawaii (Kailua-Kona), and/or North Hawaii (Honokaa) campuses. Must be able to attend meetings and trainings on short notice as well as teach courses in person, as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, conduct lecture and as appropriate, laboratory courses in the discipline.
  • May include instructional assignment involving distance education.
  • Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
  • Possible evening, weekend and off-campus assignments.
  • Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.
  • Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes.
  • Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades.
Minimum Qualifications
  • (a) Master s in Information & Computer Science;
  • OR (b) Master s in Business with coursework in business computer applications;
  • OR (c) Master s in Education Technology with coursework in computer applications;
  • OR (d) Bachelor s in Information and Computer Science and 3 years of related work experience within the last 5 years;
  • OR (e) Bachelor s in Business with coursework in business computer applications and 3 years of related work experience within the last 5 years;
  • OR (f) Bachelor s in any field and 5 years of related work experience including training within the last 5 years;
  • OR (g) Associate degree in Business with some coursework in business computer applications and 5 years of related work experience including training within the last 5 years;
  • OR (h) 15 college credits in Business with some coursework in business computer applications and 7 years of related work experience including training within the last 5 years;
  • OR (i) Master recognition by Business Community in computer applications and 10 years of related work experience including training within the last 5 years.

If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting minimum qualifications may be considered.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs and pass required additional screening as necessary.
  • Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.
