Environmental Planner

ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER (Honolulu or Hilo)

SSFM International is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental Planner with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our team. As an Environmental Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that development projects comply with environmental laws and regulations. You will work to minimize the environmental impacts of housing, industrial, and transportation-related construction projects, while also facilitating the environmental permitting process.

Your work will contribute to the betterment of projects and the reduction of their impacts on the planet.

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations for development projects.
• Minimize environmental impacts of construction projects.
• Facilitate the environmental permitting process.
• Write environmental reports and documents.
• Review site plans and conduct site visits to investigate potential environmental effects.

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Environmental Planner or in a similar role.
• NEPA/HRS 343 experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
