The University of Hawai‘i at Hilo is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Machine Learning) to maintain ML code, update hardware and software, and support ML research within the SDAV lab. A bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field plus ML experience is required.
The role is a part-time, temporary position (20 hours per week) starting approximately November 2026. The successful candidate will work with the SDAV team on ML/model development and deployment tasks in a campus
