Location benefits extend far beyond the unit walls. Working in Hilo provides you with a tropical backdrop for patient care, a collaborative community of healthcare professionals, and access to volcanic landscapes, pristine coastlines, and cultural experiences that enrich every day you work. In addition, this opportunity can connect you with assignments across the United States, offering you a broad spectrum of clinical settings and patient populations.

You’ll gain exposure to varied EHR systems, shifting team dynamics, and leadership experiences that sharpen your clinical judgment and adaptability. The chance to rotate through diverse facilities means you’ll learn new protocols, refine your CCU skills, and expand your professional network, all while returning to the serenity of Hawaiian evenings.

In this CCU‑focused role, you’ll steward critically ill cardiac and post‑operative patients under high‑acuity conditions. Core responsibilities include continuous hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation of arterial lines and invasive monitors, advanced telemetry, ventilator management, and coordination with cardiology and surgical teams to optimize patient trajectories. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, titrate vasoactive medications, manage rapid responses, and implement evidence‑based protocols for heart failure, post‑cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, and complex arrhythmias.

The position supports professional growth through hands‑on leadership opportunities, ongoing skill refinement, and exposure to cutting‑edge CCU practices, including trending and documentation excellence in high‑pressure environments.

You’ll mentor junior staff, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and play a key role in family communication and patient advocacy. The package includes a competitive benefit set: a sign‑on or completion bonus, robust housing assistance, and flexible extension opportunities to continue advancing your CCU expertise within our nationwide network. In addition, you’ll receive comprehensive, 24/7 support from a dedicated travel partner—before, during, and after every assignment—ensuring you’re never navigating the road alone while you honor patient care across the country.

Our company values your growth as much as your contribution. We are committed to empowering our nurses with clear paths for advancement, access to mentorship, and a supportive work environment where your clinical judgment is respected and your well‑being is a priority. You’ll find a culture that prioritizes collaboration, continuous learning, and recognizing excellence in patient care.
