Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Night Flex Pool position in Hawaii, requiring a current HI RN license and at least 2 years of Med/Surg or Step Down experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital flex pool, floating between medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units
- Adult Med/Surg and occasional Step Down patient populations
- 12-hour night shifts ), 36 hours per week after orientation week
- Possible floating to Medical Unit, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular Units
- Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes used
- Nurse-to-patient ratios:
Medical 1:8 at night, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (may vary) - All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
- Orientation provided for each unit the RN will float to
- Professional, clean nursing scrubs required
- Must provide documented proof of immunity; medical and religious exemption requests are not accepted
- Travelers should arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to complete onboarding requirements
- Active HI RN license required by assignment start
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Med/Surg or Step Down units
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Preferred but not required: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
- Experience with Meditech EMR and related equipment preferred
