Job Description:
Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Unit (CVU RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Unit Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac and vascular conditions. The CVU RN plays a critical role in monitoring, managing, and supporting patients throughout their cardiovascular treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry rhythms
• Administer cardiac medications, IV drips, and titrate vasoactive infusions per protocol
• Monitor hemodynamic status and recognize early signs of cardiac instability
• Care for pre- and post-procedure patients (cardiac cath, EP, vascular procedures as applicable)
• Assist with diagnostic tests and interventions related to cardiovascular care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and discharge planning
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to patient safety and quality standards

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Cardiovascular, Cardiac Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong critical-thinking and time-management skills
