Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery position in Hawaii requiring active HI RN licensure and at least 3 years of L&D experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital setting with assignments in Labor & Delivery (8 beds), Postpartum (18 beds), and Nursery
- Serve diverse patient populations including laboring mothers and newborns
- Variable day and night 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week after orientation
- One scheduled 12-hour on-call shift at least once per month
- Uses Meditech EMR and GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems
- Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with deliveries, and manage immediate newborn and postpartum care
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
- Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday assignment start for pre-employment health clearance
- COVID-19 vaccination may be required
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 3 years of recent labor and delivery experience
- Certifications required: BLS and NRP
- STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications recommended
- Proficiency in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
