Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care

ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Variable Shifts) in Hilo, Hawaii.

Hilo, HI

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts are variable and will be based on census and facility need. Candidates must be available to arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work in a Long Term Care Facility, providing essential nursing care and support to patients. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering treatments and medications, notifying physicians or nurse practitioners of pertinent information, admitting and discharging patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and managing specialized care such as gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatments, wound vac care, and CPAP care.

• Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Notify medical staff of significant changes in patient condition.
• Assist with admissions and discharges.
• Provide ADL assistance to residents.
• Manage gastrostomy tubes and urinary catheters.
• Deliver nebulized treatments and manage wound vacs and CPAP devices.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

• Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a Long Term Care setting is required.
• Proficiency in performing the responsibilities outlined above.

• Current LPN license in the state of Hawaii.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved application for medical or religious exception required prior to start date.
