Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Nursery Registered Nurse

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Contract | Rotating Day and Night Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week after initial orientation week | On-call requirement of at least one 12-hour call shift per month

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients throughout the labor and delivery process
• Assist with deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care for mothers
• Deliver immediate newborn care following delivery
• Utilize computerized charting via Meditech electronic health record system
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring using GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system
• Fulfill scheduled on-call obligations, including at least one 12-hour call shift per month

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment — candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply for licensure upon offer acceptance
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification (Required)
• NRP certification (Required)

• STABLE certification (Recommended)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Recommended)
• Experience working in a unit with multiple care settings including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery

• Opportunity to practice in a unique island setting serving a diverse patient population in Hawaii
• Work within a well-equipped unit featuring 8 Labor & Delivery beds and 18 Postpartum beds
