Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Nursery Registered Nurse

Hilo, HI | Acute Care

Contract | Rotating Variable Shifts (Days and Nights) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week after initial orientation week | Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients throughout the labor and delivery process
• Assist with deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care for both mother and newborn
• Deliver postpartum nursing care across an 18-bed unit
• Utilize computerized documentation via Meditech
• Operate fetal monitoring equipment (GE/Centricity system)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment; candidates without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

• STABLE Program certification
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Experience working in a unit with a similar bed configuration (L&D and Postpartum combined setting)

• Opportunity to practice in a unique island setting serving a diverse patient population in Hawaii
